What Is It?

I made an inktober prompt generator as a joke in the last days of September. It gave me some wild words, but I thought I’d try to make a few as wire art. I only ended up making the one because of other obligations, but I’m happy with the one I did end up making.

The word was was “homographs”, or words that look the same, but sound or mean something different. In this case “axes” is both the plural of “ax” and “axis”.

The Crafts Side

I used the same brass wire that I do for circuit sculptures, but I used a twisted pair for the handles of the axes for increased structural integrity. It was a huge pain to get the bases to stick together, but with a big enough blob of solder it finally worked.
